Do we want to talk about my dessert cravings again?
I’ve been craving this Caramel Cobbler for 2 weeks.
I don’t know why I didn’t make it earlier.
It takes, like, 30 seconds to pull together.
Seriously! 30 seconds put a timer on it!!
Oh, wait….
I do know why I didn’t make it before!
Do we want to talk about how I can’t wear a bikini for the rest of the Summer?
I ate about 1/3 of the cobbler
while it was warm
AT 7:00 a.m.!!!

*Tip ~Did you know this little trick? Whisk your flour instead of sifting it.
Works just as well and much faster!

Stir flour and sugar together

add vanilla to milk

pour milk mixture into flour mixture and stir

melted butter makes me happy!

pour batter over butter

still pouring

sprinkle brown sugar over batter

carefully pour hot water over everything
Caramel Cobbler
1/2 c butter (real butter)
1 1/2 c self-rising flour
1 1/2 c sugar
3/4 c milk
1 tsp vanilla (or almond)
1 1/2 c packed light brown sugar
1 1/2 c hot water
Ice cream or sweetened whipped cream
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt 1 stick butter in 9×13 inch pan. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, milk, and flavoring (vanilla or almond, both are excellent). Stir to combine, then pour over melted butter. Sprinkle brown sugar over top of batter. Carefully pour hot water over butter and batter. Do not stir. Cook 30 minutes until golden brown.
Serve with sweetened whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
