Peanut Butter Cookies and Cream Bars

I received an email about a week ago inviting me to participate in a “Get Your Chef On” recipe challenge.
(Hosted by Julie at White Lights on Wednesday and Jen at Four Marrs One Venus)
Well, you know me and a contest, I was all for it. Then I heard what the secret ingredient was!
Peanut Butter!!!
Are. You. Kidding. Me. Right. Now?!!
My child has lived off peanut butter for 9 years!!
I eat a big scoop of peanut butter every single day!!
It took about a nano second for me to reply ‘I’m In!’
And I proceeded to Get My Chef On and this is my creation.

Mix cake mix with butter and egg
Crush cookies
Chop Snickers
Go ahead, eat a couple!
Cook crust, which is the cake mix, butter and egg, 10 minutes
Layer cookies…
Snickers…
and peanut butter chips on crust
Pour sweetened condensed milk over everything
Yum-O! Doesn’t that look good already?
Bake another 13 to 15 minutes.
Now listen, you have to let it cool completely before cutting!

Peanut Butter Cookies and Cream Bars
1 pkg white or yellow cake mix
1 stick butter (1/2 c), softened
1 egg
16 peanut butter sandwich cookies, broken
10 mini-Snickers, chopped
1 1/2 c peanut butter chips
1 can sweetened condensed milk
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a bowl, mix together the cake mix, butter and egg. Mixture will be thick and stiff; press in a 9×13 inch cake pan. Bake 10 minutes. Remove from oven and layer the peanut butter cookies, Snickers, and peanut butter chips. Pour sweetened condensed milk over top. Return to oven and bake another 13 to 15 minutes or until center is set. Cool completely before cutting.
