It’s no secret that I love to cook and bake. I’m the Mom that has hot homemade bread ready for them for an after-school snack. It’s all they’ve ever known. I remember when Lincoln was in kindergarten, he came home from a play date and exclaimed, “Mommie, did you know that you can buy cookie dough in a tube? All you have to do is bake them!!”
Now, don’t get me wrong they love my food. They love to help me in the kitchen. They love to give me recipe ideas. They love to grill. Having said all that, they think it’s a special treat when they get food that I don’t make! I get that; it’s the same way I feel when I get to eat at a restaurant!
I picked up Jimmy Dean Pancakes and Sausage on a stick several years ago for Ryder because he loves breakfast foods so much. He loved them. They quickly became a favorite and now requests them for snack several times a week. I always have a box in the freezer and if I don’t it’s on the grocery list to get stat! This boy eats 7 times a day, his snack could be at 10:00 a.m. or 5:00 p.m. but it doesn’t matter, being the breakfast lover that he is, he wants ‘pancakes and sausage on a stick’ regardless of the time of day! After all, they are made of a sweet pancake surrounding a delicious sausage, how could you go wrong with that?
So here’s the deal at Walmart, where I shopped, Jimmy Dean Pancakes and Sausage on a stick is moving from the frozen food aisle to the Breakfast aisle at all Walmart stores in February. So if you’re looking for them and can’t find them, look where all the waffles, pancakes and other breakfast items are located. Or, flag down a worker and ask them. Really, I’ve always wondered why they weren’t on the breakfast aisle before!
Just look at how much he enjoys these! I enjoy them just as much for a quick on-the-go breakfast for the boys. Be sure to look for them next time your grocery shopping down the breakfast aisle.
