Crispy & Irresistible: Deep Fried Snicker Candy Bars

Have you ever dreamed of combining the crunch of a crispy shell with the gooey goodness of a Snickers candy bar? Well, dream no more because deep-fried Snicker candy bars are here.

Imagine biting into a warm, crispy exterior that gives way to a melty, caramel-filled center. The contrast between the crunchy shell and the soft, gooey Snickers inside creates a flavor sensation that’s hard to resist. Each bite is a delightful combination of sweet, salty, and downright delicious.

Deep Fried Snicker Candy Bars

I have decided that the best egg rolls are savory, not sweet. And they’re oozing with chocolate!

Once in a while, I think about the most bizarre recipe. Years ago, I remember seeing something similar to my Deep Fried Snicker Candy Bars on a television show. It was only after Santa brought my boys 4 feet of Snickers candy bars that I remembered this.

I didn’t think covering the candy bars in a batter would work, so I wrapped them in egg roll wrappers. This worked beautifully. As long as the wrappers are sealed completely, the chocolate won’t ooze out when it gets hot.

The outside gets wonderfully crispy, and the candy bar inside melts and gets gooey.

These fried Snickers remind me of carnival food. Another fun hack for carnival food is this funnel cake with pancake mix.

Cooking Tips

  • Start by wrapping each Snickers candy bar tightly in an egg roll wrapper, making sure to seal the edges securely to prevent any leakage.
  • Heat your oil to around 350°F (175°C) before gently placing the wrapped candy bars into the hot oil. Fry them for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they’re golden brown and crispy.
  • Don’t overcrowd the frying pan or fryer, as this can cause the candy bars to cook unevenly. Fry them in batches if necessary.
  • Once they’re done frying, remove the deep-fried Snicker candy bars from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.
  • Let them cool for a minute or two before indulging, as the filling can be extremely hot!
  • Any candy bar will work in this technique. Choose your favorite or what you have on hand.
  • If you haven’t used egg roll wrappers previously, you can find them in the produce section of most grocery stores.
  • This is a fun dessert that kids will enjoy helping you make as well as eating them! Just be careful of hot oil around little ones and monitor them closely.
  • These are great alone. They’re also good with vanilla ice cream added.

Fried Snickers Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I use any type of candy bar for this recipe?
A: While Snickers bars are the classic choice for deep frying, you can experiment with other candy bars as well. Milky Way, Twix, and even Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups can all be delicious options.

Q: Can I bake these instead of frying them?
A: While baking them won’t give you the same crispy texture as frying, you can certainly try baking them in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for about 10-12 minutes. Just keep an eye on them to prevent burning.

Q: Can I freeze them before frying?
A: Yes, you can freeze the wrapped candy bars for up to a month before frying them. Just make sure to thaw them completely before frying.

Deep-fried Snicker candy bars are a truly indulgent treat that’s perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth cravings. With their crispy exterior and gooey center, they’re sure to be a hit with kids and adults alike. Grab some egg roll wrappers and Snickers bars and let’s cook!
