Raise your hand if you like the frozen Push-ups? Gosh, I sure do. What memories they bring back. My granddad would take me with him every Saturday morning on errands. We would always go my the store and get this frozen treat. Well, I would get it, he would get a cherry soda and put his peanuts in it. That seems so strange to me now…

I wanted to create some memories with my children and since my favorite childhood treat is an orange push-up pop, I thought it would be fun to recreate that with my boys. We tested them early so we’d have the perfect combination of ingredients on Halloween night… that and they were just too good not to test over and over and over! Fun times!

This Monster Mash Float drink is tangy and creamy all at the same time. It’s one of those drinks that you just can’t quit eating. I like mine more frozen and thick than thin. I really like mine so thick you need to eat it with a spoon. My boys like straws so they prefer the float thin. It’s all good though because you can control the consistency with the amount of seltzer or club soda you add. Thickness can also be adjusted with how melty your ice cream. Melty? yeah…

Sweet and creamy just how I remember the push-pops from my childhood!

So along with my push-up pop and creating memories, the boys and I went on a costume shopping trip. This is probably the last year that Lincoln will want to dress up so I made it a fun event. We shopped and tried on and laughed at the fun, scary and quirky costumes.

Because they want to have friends over to trick or treat on Halloween night, we also tested ‘scary’ food and drinks. I made a TruMoo Orange Float. It’s a tasty and fun take on a classic ‘Coke’ float. The Monster Mash Float comes to life by combining the limited edition milk with frozen yogurt topped off with chilled seltzer. I used TruMoo Limited Edition Orange Scream milk to make it healthier for the kids. TruMoo Orange Scream is a wholesome, low-fat white milk by the makers of the classic TruMoo chocolate milk. It doesn’t contain any of artificial growth hormones or high fructose corn syrup so you can feel good about serving it.

You could also try this TruMoo Paranormal pudding. I haven’t had time to make it yet, but I think when I do, I’ll put gummy worms in it. Kids will love that, right? Just the fun orange color makes it festive!
