Running and Motivation
I have friends ask me all the time how do I cook all this food and still maintain my weight. First of all I am very conscious of what I eat. I don’t limit myself on anything, but I don’t eat large portions. I also use MyFitnessPal on my mobile phone and basically keep a calorie count daily. I believe in moderation in everything. If I know I’m having a large dinner with friends, I cut back during the day and move more. I run an average of 25+ miles a week and do weight training. (That’s as much for mental health as it is for physical!) And, I make a point to move.
Working out doesn’t have to be work. Play with your kids. Hop. Skip. Jump. Join a team and make new friends while becoming fit.
The number of times you fall down is irrelevant. The number of times you have the courage to get back up is what matters.
