These pork bites are a delightful combination of flavors and textures. Plentiful seasoning brings out the best flavor and the cornstarch gives them a light crunch. Serve them as a hearty appetizer or with rice and vegetables for a less than 30 minute meal.
Cut pork chop in 1 inch bite size. Toss in a bowl with soy sauce.
1 pound (453 g) pork chop, 1 tablespoon soy sauce
In a shallow bowl, Stir together cornstarch, black pepper, salt and garlic. Add pork chop bites in the bowl and coat each side.
½ cup (2.82 oz | 80 g) cornstarch, 1 teaspoon black pepper, 1 teaspoon sea salt, ½ teaspoon garlic powder
Heat a non-stick heavy pan with oil on medium heat. Sear pork on each side until golden brown and no more pink inside. It will take about 5-6 minutes. Remove and set on a plate.
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
Remove the grease from the pan but leave it (don’t clean it). Saute onion, garlic, red chili, and green chili until fragrant.
1 medium red onion, 6 cloves garlic, 1 medium red chili, 1 medium green chili
Add the pork back to the pan and stir together for a few seconds.
