Ingredients

For the Tea

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 gallon water
  • 3 family size tea bags
  • 3 cups cold water

For the Lemonade

  • 3 - 4 large lemons
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 cups cold water

Instructions

For the Tea

  • Pour the sugar into a large pitcher. Bring 1/gallon water to a boil in a large pan. When the water begins to boil, remove from the heat, and place the tea bags in. Let steep for 5 to 6 minutes.
  • Remove tea bags and pour tea into the pitcher. Stir until the sugar is dissolved. Add 2 to 3 cups of ice or water depending on how diluted you want it. Refrigerate to chill.

For the Lemonade

  • Firmly roll the lemons between your hand and counter top before cutting in half and juicing. Juice the lemons to make 1/2 cup of juice.
  • In a large pitcher combine 1/2 cup lemon juice, 1/2 cup sugar, and 3 cups cold water. Stir. Adjust sugar to taste. Chill in the refrigerator.

For the Arnold Palmer

  • Add ice to a tall glass. Fill 2/3 full with sweet tea. Fill rest of the way with lemonade. Stir. Garnish with lemon wedge.
