In a saucepan, saute sausage, onion, and garlic in oil over medium heat.
Add tomato sauce, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Bring to a low boil then reduce heat to simmer and simmer for 5 minutes.
While this is simmering, cook gnocchi according to package.
When gnocchi is done, drain. Remove the tomato sauce from the heat and stir in heavy cream. Add gnocchi to tomato cream sauce and stir carefully. Garnish with fresh basil. Serve immediately.
