These Firecracker Chicken Skewers are sweet, spicy, juicy, and easy to make. Marinated in hot sauce, brown sugar, soy sauce, and garlic, they're perfect for weeknight dinners, cookouts, meal prep, and summer grilling.
In a bowl, mix hot sauce, brown sugar, soy sauce, rice vinegar, oil, minced garlic, and chili flakes (if using).
2 Tablespoons hot sauce, 2 Tablespoons brown sugar, 2 Tablespoon soy sauce, 1 Tablespoon rice vinegar, 1 Tablespoon oil, 2 medium garlic cloves, ½ teaspoon chili flakes
Step 2: Marinate the Chicken
Add chicken pieces to the marinade and mix to coat. Let marinate for at least 20 minutes (or up to overnight in the fridge).
1 pound boneless skinless chicken breast
Step 3: Skewer the Chicken
Thread marinated chicken onto skewers, leaving a bit of space between each piece for even cooking.
Step 4: Cook the Skewers
Grill or pan-sear over medium-high heat for 8–10 minutes, turning occasionally, until cooked through and lightly charred. Baste with leftover marinade halfway through cooking if desired.
Step 5: Serve
Serve hot with steamed rice, noodles, or a fresh salad.
