Add taller items toward the center and radiate out from it with items.
Slice a few slices from blocks of cheese and arrange them on your board. Provide knives for guests to slice more.
Fold meats in a variety of patterns and display around the board.
For olives and pickles that have juice, place them in small bowls with picks. Likewise for nuts and other small items. Provide a spoon or scoop for them.
Place condiments and spreads in jars next to what they go with.
Arrange crackers and bread around the board.
Fill in remaining places with fruit.
You can make it early, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate until you're ready to serve.
