 Frozen Cereal Snack

Frozen Cereal Snack

I’m a snacker. It drives my husband nuts. I hate eating a big meal though and grab a snack every couple of hours. I have to make sure my snacks are healthy and have a variety of “go to” snacks on hand or that I can make rather quickly. This is why I tried making a Frozen Cereal Snack. It’s refreshing, tasty and filling.

I often reach for yogurt and just discovered this Silk Dairy-Free Yogurt Alternative. It’s a plant-based yogurt with 6g plant-powered protein per serving and it’s smooth, creamy and delicious! Not only that, it’s a good source of calcium and vitamin D, Gluten-free, and low in saturated fat.

Silk Dairy-Free Yogurt Alternative is a great snack by itself, but then I discovered you can make frozen Frozen Cereal Snack or fruit. Wowzers! This is a superior snack!

You can coat, then freeze a healthy cereal with this Silk Dairy-Free Yogurt Alternative for a hearty snack that really sticks with you longer. It’s highly adaptable with your favorite variations of healthy, high fiber cereals and Silk Dairy-Free Yogurt Alternative flavors.

Method

Choose your cereal. I recommend a high fiber, low sugar cereal. Then Choose your Silk Dairy-Free Yogurt Alternative. It comes in these Flavors: Strawberry, Blueberry, Black Cherry,Vanilla,Tropical Pineapple and Peach & Mango. You simply mix the two items together, then freeze for 20 minutes. I made my Frozen Cereal Snack with Tropical Pineapple and honeycombed shaped cereal. I just love the taste of it.

*Another bonus of this recipe, if you have teething toddlers this is a great snack to soothe those achy gums!

Can Cereal be frozen?

Yes, absolutely. You can freeze cereal coated in yogurt like I did. As well, you can freeze cereal right in the box it comes it to preserve it longer.

Along with this recipe, I have found that children enjoy Frosted Sugar Cookie Bars, Mini Taco Nachos, and my Muffin Pan Pepperoni Bites.
