I skipped doing something I really love today because I have so much blog work to do. Seems crazy that my ‘hobby’ has turned into such a passion. My Type A personality won’t let me do some half-way therefore, I get a little obsessed about whatever it is that I’m doing.

I was thinking I need an assistant, but then I realized I have two free minions that I could make persuade into helping. They’re my children. It’s totally okay to include blog work into their chore list, right? Well, even if you say ‘no’, they’re easily bribed persuaded with extra gaming time.

But, then, there’s the issue of ‘Will they do it the way I want it done?

I have control issues too

and that’s wayyyy too much to talk about in one blog post. 😉

So here I am bringing you this fabulous casserole because I found this really cool new vegetable cooking spray product. It’s PAM Cooking Spray’s “99% Less Residue” product! I have learned my lesson the hard way and had many a cake stick to the pan and be rendered un-presentable. I turned one into truffles and one into a trifle. But, that’s not what I wanted to present to my dinner guests!

Since receiving the PAM Cooking Spray 99% Less Residue to try, I’ve used it on many different cooking and baking projects. Even though I’m featuring a casserole, I’ve used it on homemade sourdough bread, cupcakes, muffins as well as savory casseroles and dishes. I did find it to leave less residue on my bakeware. Less residue equals less clean-up time; it makes it easier to clean up as well!

Do you know what else I found the product to do? It actually works better at releasing food from pans. Ultimately, it will last longer and cost less because you need less of it. Win. Win. New formulas of Original, Butter, and Baking PAM Cooking Sprays leave up to 99% less residue buildup than margarine or bargain-brand cooking spray. They still leave that great no-stick results. It also has zero calories per serving!

  1. This sounds easy and delicious. I love having a reason to crank on the oven during the winter. Oh, and I like your about me sidebar-the first thing that popped into my mind was eating cookie dough while running;)

    1. Thanks, Christine, I like easy dishes.
I think I run because I eat so much cookie dough, not at the same time though…but I did get behind a man smoking a pipe and running once.

      1. You didn’t have tge sausage addressed in the directions.

  2. I was using store brand cooking spray and the bottle got all gunky. Gross! I recently bought some of the PAM spray and noticed that there isn’t any residue on the bottle either. Gotta love that! Great recipe, Paula!

    1. Exactly! I did the same thing in the past, then sometimes it gets so gunked up it won’t spray and you waste half the bottle! Thanks for stopping by, Julie.

  3. I do not think I could cook without PAM! She is my best friend in the kitchen! I also would love to have the LE Creuset baking dish. You did a great job with these pictures. They really make me want to try it.
    Blessings Always,

  6. Paula, this looks awesome! Everything in this recipe is delicious and of course, pinned and buffered! I am never without Pam of Pam for Baking in my kitchen – I just need to get a better aim actually INTO the pan and not on the floor! Thanks for sharing and have a happy Monday!

    1. lol, Cindy me too! I stand over the sink to spray because I missed so badly one time I almost slipped there was so much in the floor!

  7. I like the way you think, I should get my kids to start pinning! But I would probably hover over them and watch them to make sure they do it the way I like too! Great recipe! Love Pam too!

    1. I actually let Lincoln pin some Sat., of course I did check behind him, but he did great. That would be a time saver if I could ‘let go’! 🙂

  8. I use Pam cooking sprays all the time. My favorite pie which I would put in the pie dish is Toasted Coconut Cream Pie.

  9. Love Pam cooking sprays too, they are a real lifesaver when it comes to food sticking 🙂 This pasta casserole sounds delicious, love quick and easy meals like this and sounds perfect for a weeknight dinner! Thanks for sharing Paula!
