A personal tip: Use pre-cooked bacon to save time. Sometimes, I sprinkle a little garlic powder over the top before baking for a subtle boost of flavor. You can also make these using your favorite yeast dough recipe or start with pre-made bread, which reduces the prep time.

You’ll like this recipe because itโs simple and flexible. You can use canned crescent rolls, biscuit dough, or refrigerated pizza dough. Cheddar is the go-to, but Swiss, pepper jack, or mozzarella work, too. If you’re short on bacon, a bit of ham or cooked sausage can be substituted. For a meat-free version, try chopped mushrooms or caramelized onions.

I use to have left overs in my fridge until I had to throw them out. But I started making my own pizza/bread dough and I started making my own hot pockets. And now I hardly throw food away anymore. My family loves them. They are so easy to do you can even use frozen or refrigerated dough to make them.
