I like my cocktail recipes just like I like my other recipes, simple and easy. I just don’t see the need for ten ingredients in a cocktail recipe when fewer can be just as good. With fewer ingredients, you’ll want to make sure each ingredient is of good quality since each flavor shines through.

This Blackberry Lemonade Margarita Smash is best with fresh blackberries. You can use frozen and it will taste just fine. However, frozen berries will not hold up to skewer for a garnish.

You may like these cocktail recipes too.

I used a premade, good-quality lemonade. You can use homemade lemonade or lemon juice plus 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon powdered sugar, depending on the sweetness you prefer.

Also, I used good tequila. I prefer Don Julio Silver. Don Julio Blanco or Patron Silver are also good options. But, use your favorite or the best you can afford.

A sugared rim is nice for this cocktail, you can do salt as well. Or, you may want to try a mixture of both. Also, if you zest lime into the sugar or salt, it will give more flavor and a nice aroma as your drink.

This is a fantastic shaker set with a muddler and shot glass for cocktail making.
