Honey Garlic Sriracha Skillet Chicken. This recipe takes simple ingredients and turns them into juicy flavorful chicken smothered in a sweet and spicy sauce. Sticky sweet and so good!

This Sriracha chicken is good served with Garlic Mashed Potatoes, noodles, or rice and Caesar Roasted Brussels Sprouts.

HONEY GARLIC SRIRACHA SKILLET CHICKEN

Savory and a little sweet, these baked chicken honey are filled with delicious flavors and is very tender. I made this recipe with a few pantry staples and had a sweet and savory chicken dish on the table in 40 minutes!

The combination of honey, soy sauce, sriracha, and garlic has the best flavor. As well, I often double this recipe because we love leftovers made into sliders.

  • Chicken breasts. I prefer breasts but you can use thighs. They need to be boneless and skinless. As well, the sauce is good with pork tenderloin.
  • Sea salt.
  • Ground black pepper.
  • Honey. You can sub maple syrup.
  • Sriracha sauce.
  • Fresh Garlic. Minced. Or jarred garlic or garlic paste. (I don’t recommend garlic powder.)
  • Low-sodium soy sauce.
  • Vegetable oil.
  • Garnish with sesame seeds and green onion slices.

WHAT DOES HONEY GARLIC CHICKEN BREAST GO WITH?

This chicken will taste good with mashed potatoes or baked potatoes, pasta, quinoa, glazed baby carrots, rice, broccoli, corn on the cob, roasted asparagus, and green beans.

How do I store leftovers?

Store in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 5 days.

What can I make with leftovers?

As mentioned above, we like sliders with leftover Honey Garlic Sriracha Skillet Chicken. I like to use Hawaiian slider buns and creamy cole slaw. It’s also good with crunchy Romaine lettuce and either Avocado Dipping Sauce (as a spread) or Avocado Ranch.

Can I bake this chicken recipe in the oven?

Yes. To bake, preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Add the chicken and its marinade to a 7×12-inch casserole dish. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, basting the chicken with the juices halfway through.

Ingredients

  • 4 medium (7.05oz | 200g per breast) chicken breasts boneless and skinless
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ¼ cup (2.03 fluid ounce | 60 ml) honey
  • ¼ cup (2.03 fluid ounce | 60 ml) sriracha sauce Add a little at a time until desired heat
  • 1 tablespoon garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Garnish: Sesame seeds, Green onions

Instructions

  • Season chicken breast with salt and pepper. In a shallow bowl, mix honey, sriracha sauce, garlic, and soy sauce.
  • Add the chicken to the bowl and marinate for 30 minutes.
  • Heat a non-stick skillet with oil over medium heat.
  • Remove chicken from the marinade and sear chicken breasts on both sides. About 3 to 5 minutes per side.
  • Add the marinade sauce to the skillet and allow to simmer until hot. Remove from the stove and serve.
  • Store any leftovers up to 5 days in the refrigerator
