Hot Bacon Cheesy Dip Recipe. Creamy. Cheesy. Ummmm, Bacony?

Completely addictive….

Creamy Hot Bacon Cheesy Dip

Like seriously, I can’t quit eating this! Hot Bacon Cheesy Dip Recipe is an easy and delish dip great for tailgating, potlucks and parties!

It’s just the right mix of cheesy and creamy with that salty bacon topping it all off. Although, I find some people (my husband, ahem!) likes to dip the top of to get the most bacon in his bite. Maybe, the best solution would be to mix bacon into the dip as well as spread it on top! (In that case, double the amount of bacon in the recipe below!)

  1. Cook your bacon extra crispy for this recipe.
  2. This will be the first to go at parties, you may want to do yourself a favor and make a double batch.
  3. Serve your Hot Bacon Cheesy Dip Recipe with buttery crackers, pita chips or vegetables.
  4. Bake in a large pan or in individual ramekins.
  5. For longer parties, you can make this and keep it warm in a slow cooker. I recommend this slow cooker!

SLOW COOKER METHOD

  1. Combine all ingredients except 1/4 cup cheddar cheese and 1/4 cup bacon.
  2. I recommend adding 1/4 cup water to the mixture so it doesn’t dry out.
  3. Cover and cook on LOW for 2-3 hours, or until hot and bubbly. Stir to combine.
  4. Top with remaining cheese and bacon. Allow this to heat up and the cheese to melt.
  5. Serve.

TIPS

First, I always recommend you shred your own cheese. Always. Of course, the pre-shredded bags are convenient. However, they contain potato starch to prevent the cheese from sticking together which also make them not melt as smoothly.

Next, I prefer low-sodium bacon if you can get it. It’s not essential. However, if you’re sensitive to salty food I recommend it. Remember, you’ll most likely be dipping with a salty chip or cracker.

For dipping, some of my favorites for this Hot Bacon Cheesy Dip Recipe include tortilla chips, ruffled potato chips, sliced and toasted baguette, butter crackers, and broccoli florets. Yes, broccoli! It’s a fantastic combo!

  1. Just a quick question. The red pepper, is it chopped red pepper, pepper flakes, ground cayenne, or red pepper sauce?
