Adding Fall Color to your front porch and door. Take full advantage of nature’s beautiful colors of gold, orange, rust, and burnt red with these favorite fall front door ideas.

Last week I posted this Adding Fall Color to the Front Door with a research picture I found as inspiration. When considering adding color to your space, I didn’t want to dig up the shrubs in the two large planters and they’re too heavy to move so I opted on adding color with pumpkins and mums. I also wanted to do this project as economically as possible. We already had the pumpkins and scarecrow then I purchased two mums at $4.47 each and the sunflowers for $3.47.

ADDING FALL COLOR

Woven baskets create a texture-rich display that warms up the look of potted plants. Ensure you are adding color by including various plant colors and shapes along with trailing vines.

I like to include gourds, pumpkins, and a scarecrow at the entryway to add fall color.

I’ll add our jack-o-lantern here on the left side of the door later. This will further enhance the fall color scheme.

The front door defines an entry. Therefore, highlight your door with a wreath or arrangement. I removed the hydrangeas I had in this cone for the summer and replaced them with these bright sunflowers. You could add any fall flowers or tree branches.
When pumpkins go on sale, I’ll add them. For fall, I plan to add a large Jack-o-lantern that the boys and I carve.
