This is a simple Brown Sugar Caramel Sauce, using brown sugar gives it a depth of flavor without browning the sugar. This is a great method to use because, my browned sugar usually turns into burned sugar! This Caramel Sauce is great over ice cream, cakes, Pound Cakes, pancakes and waffles. Once you try it, you’ll want to keep a jar full in your fridge at all times.

Brown Sugar Caramel Sauce
Before we get to the recipe, let’s talk.
Over the Christmas holiday break, we went to the Gaylord Opryland Resort for a few nights. It was decorated for the Christmas season and was just magnificent! There were twinkling lights, huge floating ornaments, and the prettiest flowers you’ve ever seen. (I’m a Master Gardener wanna-be!) If you ever have the opportunity to go, it’s a beautiful resort whether it’s during the Christmas season or not.
One of the reasons I wanted to go was to see the Rockettes. They only perform at Opryland during the Christmas season. Since I was young I’ve wanted to see them and the show did not disappoint. The only thing that would have made it better would have been if they’d allowed me to be an honorary member!
One-two-three Kick! I’m sure I would have done them proudly!!
Below are a few pictures from the resort.

Yes, they have multiple waterfalls in th atrium.

The Delta Atrium actually has an island in the center and a river meandering throughout.

Kung Fu Panda was an exhibit while we were there.

It really felt magical at night.

The Rockettes show was in the Grand Ole Opry.

Santa apparently will ride anything to deliver gifts on time.

This tree was four stories tall.

Biggest and best cinnamon rolls! They were six inches in diameter… and I ate the whole thing!!
That concludes your tour. Please exit to your left and immediately make this kicking
Caramel Sauce
Look at that deep, rich color. The deeper the color the richer the taste when it comes to caramel sauce. I made this Brown Sugar Caramel Sauce pour over my Sticky Toffee Cake. I’m serious, it’s all I could do not to drink it! It’s that good. You’ll want to pour it over everything! And, rightly so!

This Brown Sugar Caramel Sauce would be fantastic drizzled over any of the following desserts!
