What is Burrata?

Burrata is a ball of fresh cowโ€™s milk mozzarella. The outside is solid mozzarella. The inside is made of curds and cream, giving it an unusual, soft texture. Some people describe the inside texture as โ€˜similar to full-fat ricotta cheeseโ€™. Itโ€™s super soft and very flavorful.

How to Serve Burrata Cheese as an Appetizer.

I stand by my statement that the easiest way to entertain is by serving a Charcuterie Board. Entertaining is a cinch with this delicious burrata cheese and charcuterie board.ย

What is Charcuterie?

Charcuterie means simply ‘cured meats.’ Weโ€™re making a munching spread basically with cured meats, crackers, burrata cheese, olives, fresh fruit, dried fruits, olives, pickles, and nuts. You can choose as many or as few of these items and mix and match as you like.

Donโ€™t want to overcomplicate your meat-and-cheese board. There are literally hundreds of combinations of meats, cheeses, and condiments you can use for your Charcuterie Board, such as my favorite blue cheese stuffed olives. Fill it full of what you like and what will please your guests.

I enjoy making themed charcuterie boards. Try my Southern-inspired board or a Christmas tree charcuterie board.
