Tiktok Texas Toast Casserole is a quick and easy garlic bread casserole recipe that’s perfect for busy weeknights. It’s made with just seven pantry and freezer staples that you probably have on hand right now.

This recipe is similar to Sloppy Joe’s, but it’s in casserole form. Using Texas Toast garlic bread makes this recipe really quick, and kids love it. (Another kid favorite is Cheddar Beef Texas Hash and Smash Burger Tacos.)

Method for making Texas Toast Casserole

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°. Spray a 9 x 13 baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Place the garlic bread in a single layer on the bottom of your casserole dish. Bake for 5 to 8 minutes or just until the bread is golden on the edges. Don’t skip this part, it dries out the bread just enough so that it won’t get soggy after you add the meat sauce.
  3. Sprinkle half of the cheese over the bread. This is another barrier to prevent the bread from getting soggy.
  4. While the bread bakes, place a large skillet or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and seasonings, crumbling the meat as it cooks, until completely browned. Drain the meat well and return it to the skillet.
  5. Add the marinara sauce to the skillet and stir to combine. Bring the meat sauce to a boil, reduce the heat to medium low, and simmer for 10 minutes.
  6. Pour the meat sauce over the bread and spread evenly. Top with the remaining cheese.
  7. Bake for 20 minutes or until the cheese has melted and the edges are bubbling.
