Ingredients

  • 1 pound loaf French bread or Italian bread, sliced in half horizontally
  • ½ cup butter softened
  • ½ cup light brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon

Glaze:

  • 2 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1 tablespoon butter melted
  • 2 cups confectioners sugar
  • ½ teaspoon pure vanilla
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons heavy cream
  • cup pecans chopped

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper
  • Carefully slice the bread in half lengthwise and lay the two halves on the sheet pan.

  • In a medium bowl, stir together the softened butter, light brown sugar, and cinnamon until fully combined.
    ½ cup butter, ½ cup light brown sugar, 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • Divide the butter mixture and spread evenly on the two halves of bread.
  • Bake for 25 minutes until the butter mixture is melted and the bread is crusty. While it's baking, make the glaze.
  • Whisk together the cream cheese, butter, confectioners sugar, vanilla, and heavy cream until smooth. Stir in the pecans.
    2 ounces cream cheese, 1 tablespoon butter, 2 cups confectioners sugar, ½ teaspoon pure vanilla, 2 to 3 tablespoons heavy cream, ⅓ cup pecans
  • Drizzle glaze over the cinnamon roll french bread. Cut into slices. (You can serve the glaze on the side for dipping instead of dripping it over the top.)
