The sticky chicken is simply seasoned with a hint of salt and pepper. Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 C. Grease a sheet pan.
  2. Add chicken to a large bowl and crack an egg on it. Stir to combine.
  3. Combine salt, pepper, and cornstarch in another large bowl. Add chicken to the bowl without the excess of egg and toss.
  4. Place on the sheet pan, drizzle with 1 ½ tablespoons oil, and bake for 10 minutes.
  5. In a medium bowl, toss broccoli and pineapple with ½ tablespoon oil. Place on the other half of the sheet pan. Bake for another 10 minutes.
  6. Sticky Sauce: In the meantime, add cornstarch in a bowl, then slowly add soy sauce while whisking with a fork to dissolve. Now stir in ginger, honey, and chili paste. Pour on the chicken. Stir and bake for another 5 minutes.
  7. Remove, garnish and serve with rice.

Store in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 5 days.

Allow to cool down and freeze in an airtight container for 1 month.

  • 1 pound (453 g) chicken breast skinless, boneless, cut in bite size pieces
  • 1 small egg
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ¼ cup (1.41 oz | 40 g) cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil divided
  • 1 cup (6.02 oz | 175 g) broccoli florets add more if you want
  • 1 cup (7.93 oz | 225 g) pineapple chunks fresh or canned

Sticky Sauce

  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • ¼ cup soy sauce 2.02 fluid oz | 60 ml
  • 1 teaspoon minced ginger
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon chili paste

Garnish

  • Chopped green onions
  • Sesame seeds

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400℉ (204℃) . Grease a sheet pan.
