Almond Latte’ is a simple and classic cocktail recipe. I love the blend of colors and flavors.
This is a good after dinner drink… or before dinner drink… or after carpool drink… oh, heck, let’s be real… it’s a good anytime drink!!
This recipe is made with amaretto, Kahlua, cream, and milk. What’s not to love about these ingredients?
Amaretto, Italian for “bitter,) is a sweet, almond-flavored, Italian liqueur. Various commercial brands are made from a base of apricot pits, almonds, or both. Amaretto can be drunk by itself, used as an ingredient to create several popular mixed drinks like this Amaretto Stone Sour, or added to coffee. It is also commonly used in culinary applications, like my Amaretto Pound Cake.
Kahlua is a coffee-flavored liqueur from Mexico. The drink contains rum, sugar, vanilla bean, and arabica coffee. Originating in Veracruz, Mexico 1936, Kahlúa is a brand name. It has become the number one selling coffee liqueur in the world. Relying on two of the region’s finest ingredients, sugarcane rum and 100% Arabica coffee. This liqueur is as rich as it is distinct.

Do you use heavy cream? what brand do you like best?
Paula says
Yes, it is heavy cream or half and half. I like Horizons organic best for this, in my pound cake I use generic.
