I have made this several times and it never fails to be absolutely beautiful and delicious! Put over vanilla orbutter pecan ice cream and people will absolutely love it! Most people have never heard of it, so it becomes a new fave!
I have been enjoying making cobbler lately. Presently, I made Caramel Cobbler and Pecan Cobbler recently and had to send them away so I would devour all of them by myself! I could too. They’re just so dang good.
My plan for Thanksgiving is to put this in the oven when everyone gets here. By the time we finish dinner, this Snickerdoodle Cobbler will be ready and I’ll serve it hot with good vanilla ice cream. How does that sound?

Snickerdoodle Cobbler
If you enjoy the flavor in Snickerdoodle cookies, you’ll love this cobbler. It has the same wonderful, warm cinnamon notes.
This is a ‘dump’ type cobbler. You basically layer everything in a 9×13 inch pan. I don’t recommend cooking it in a smaller pan.
I recommend using real
This is one of my most favorite, if not the favorite, desserts. It’s just a bonus that it’s so very easy to make!
I don’t know what is better! The fun of making the silly thing, or EATING it! This is magic, I was cracking up at the pour the water over it stage. Too funny. I knew it worked because I shared it with a friend, who promptly made it and it was FABULOUS! So, now I am making one for my boss.. her birthday tomorrow. Thanks so much for such a fun and tasty recipe! This is a keeper for sure!

I made this tonight & it was so runny. It did not turn golden brown after 35 minutes so I left it in the hoping that it would come together & it did not. I had a awesome smelling kitchen but burnt goop in my pan 🙁
I am afraid mine is on the same track. Has been baking for 50+ minutes and is still very soupy. Hoping to take it to a July 4th celebration soon! Please don’t disappoint!
Cobblers are not meant to be crispy or chewy. All cobblers are supposed to be gooey (with a consistency similar to oatmeal), which is perfectly okay because there aren’t any eggs that need to be fully cooked!
I halved the recipe and made it in an 8×8 pan for my Bible study. It worked really well. When only one girl showed up, we ended up canceling the Bible study, so my husband and I devoured the entire pan. My husband is extrememly picky about desserts, but now he’s begging me to make another batch tonight! So good!
This looks delicious! Do you have to use self rising flour?
No, you can use plain with baking powder and salt
Okay, thank you!
How much baking powder and salt do you use? And would the flour measurement stay the same?
I use self-rising flour and don’t use baking powder and salt.
I see that is what you use but in a previous post you indicated regular flour could be used and add salt and baking powder. Was hoping for those measurements. Thanks anyway.
As a substitute for 1-1/2 cups self-rising flour,
Place 2-1/4 teaspoons baking powder and 3/4 teaspoon salt in a measuring cup.
Add all-purpose flour to measure 1 cup.
Combine with an additional 1/2 cup all-purpose flour.
I found this recipe today and made it tonight. I do not eat alot of sweets, but I do love the flavors in snickerdoodle cookies. I followed the instructions to a “T” and this came out perfect. To me, it tastes like a cinnamon roll in a spoon! A new fave for my family! Thank you PMc.
I’m so glad you like it. It’s one of my favorites, love most anything with cinnamon! Thanks for letting me know!
Paula this looks ridiculously good!
Got my Daughter a new stand mixer for Christmas. I think she needs to put the mixer to some good use and this would be perfect for her first recipe.
Yes, it’s a must! let me know if she makes it, I love this recipe.
I love these kind of cobblers – and this version sounds wonderful!
Thanks so much, Pam!
To make your own self-rising flour
I love them too, anything cinnamon. Thanks Amanda!

Well go ahead, I ate it for breakfast lunch and dinner for 3 days 🙂
