Nov.posted by Paula 11 Comments

Easy, simple, and delicious, this Easy Strawberry Dump Cobbler recipe will become a family favorite! It’s also known as Ridiculously Easy Cake and Are You Kidding Me Cake? This old-fashioned dump cake, or cobbler, with just four ingredients, is a classic you’ll love.

Easy Strawberry Dump Cobbler recipe. this cake recipe is as easy as one, two, three!

This is a simple 4-ingredient dessert recipe. All you need is one pan. It’s true. This may actually the easiest dessert recipe in the world to make!

Easy Strawberry Dump Cobbler is also known as Ridiculously Easy Cake and Are You Kidding Me Cake?

With the success of my Pecan Cobbler and Caramel Cobbler, I wanted to try creating another dump cake recipe. Why is it called a ‘dump cake or cobbler’, you ask? Because you, literally, dump all the ingredients into a baking pan and bake it. There is no mixing required.

That’s even better than a ‘One-bowl’ recipe, am I right?

Easy Strawberry Dump Cobbler is also known as Ridiculously Easy Cake and Are You Kidding Me Cake? This popular homemade cake is always the first to go. Easy Strawberry Dump Cobbler recipe is easy, delicious and always the first to go! Tell your friends where you got this recipe because they'll ask!

The strawberries are literally dumped into a cake pan. Spread them out so that every bite has strawberries in it.

The cake mix is next. It’s not really dumped in the pan. You will sprinkle it over the berries evenly.

Next, cut the butter into cubes and place them over the cake mix. I like to cut thin slices of butter for the top instead of just a few large chunks of butter. I think it melts into the cake mix better.

You can also spread a handful of walnuts, pecans, or almonds over the cake mix.

You can serve dump cobbler warm or at room temperature.

As well, it’s yummy plain or with milk. However, my favorite way to serve it is warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream! So good.

To warm refrigerated cobbler, simply zap it in the microwave about 30 seconds.

Is the cake mix the just add water type or the add water, oil and eggs type? Or will either work?

      It’s the water/oil/egg kind. I haven’t tried the other.

How much is 5 cups strawberries? Would a 32 oz. container of fresh strawberries be enough?

Is fruit juice an acceptable substitute for butter or margarine in fruit dump cakes?

      5 stars
A lot of time you can substitute apple sauce or pumpkin puree for part of the butter (or oil) when it’s mixed in a recipe. However, on dump cakes/cobblers like this it needs the fat to mix with the cake mix and brown. It will be soggy and not brown on top with fruit juice.

Do I thaw and drained the frozen berries first?

Don’t drain them. I put my berries in frozen. You can do either
