20 Minute Pork Chop Rice One Pot Recipe is an economical and healthy meal; tasty pork chops and rice are bathed in a rich sauce your family will love.
Friends often make the assumption that because I like to cook that I want to cook and have time to cook every meal. In reality, I’m just like you, I struggle with juggling work and family activities. Granted, I can throw a dessert together in minutes. However, satisfying my sweet tooth is much easier than satisfying three food critic boys!
So how do I put a home-cooked meal on the table during busy weeknights? The trick is short cut products like Success® Rice. Success® Rice is the original boil-in-bag rice that cooks perfectly every time and is ready in 10 minutes. The Brown Rice I used is 100% whole grain and gluten-free. There are 3 other varieties available: White Rice, Thai Jasmine, and Basmati.
20 Minute Pork Chop Rice One Pot Recipe
The secret to my 20-minute meal is I cook everything in one pot. Quick-cooking and quick clean-up. I actually take the rice out of the bag, it’s all good, it’s still conveniently premeasured cutting down on prep time for me.
Did you know when your heating a pan, you first need to heat the pan without fat in it? The process is to heat the pan, then add the fat, in this case, oil, then allow the oil to heat and ripple before adding your protein. This reduces the chances of burning the oil.
If you have 20 minutes and pork chops in the fridge, you can have this dinner ready to serve your family.

What is mushroom steak sauce? Is there a brand? Or do you mean mushroom gravy?
I would probably work with mushroom gravy, which is what I meant to pick up. The link to exactly brand is in the comments above, Shawntel.
How many bags of rice did you use.
Hi Carol, I just used one bag. It made enough to feed my family of four.
Dumb question but do I cook the rice first and then add to drippings?
Thanks
No and I just realized my instructions are unclear on that. Add the uncooked rice and you’ll kind of toast it slightly then the rice will cook in the french onion soup, mushroom steak sauce and water.
LOVE pork chops and I especially love one pot meals. This looks delicious!
This meal looks great and I love that it can be made in one pot.
I grew up using Success Rice, but had no idea they were still around…silly me! 😉 I have got to check this meal out Paula, it looks delicious!!
Lisa, my parents were old school, we only had ‘real’ rice, I didn’t even know about Success rice until I was in college. My husband was right the opposite, he thought all rice cooks in 5 minutes 🙂
I love that you always have a glass of wine in your dinner photos. You’re a girl after my heart for sure! This looks delicious, Paula!
hahaha, I mean it goes with everything ‘cept maybe cereal 🙂
Not usually a pork chop fan but I think you won me over with this, Paula!
Thanks, Julie!
I can’t wait to try this, but what is mushroom steak sauce? What brand should I be looking for, and where in the grocery store will I find it?
Hi Teresa. I know, I actually meant to pick up mushrooms, but got the mushroom steak sauce instead and wanted to write the recipe exactly as I made it. I don’t remember the brand but it was right beside the mushrooms in a little 4 oz jar. I will look tomorrow when I go and get the name for you.
Teresa, I decided to look on Walmart’s website and I found exactly what I used. It’s 6 oz not 4 though. This link will take you to the product so you can see http://www.walmart.com/ip/Dawn-Fresh-By-Giorgio-Mushroom-Steak-Sauce-6-Oz/10308570

I loooove the Success Boil in a Bag Jasmine rice. I suck at cooking rice so it’s perfect for me! This looks delicious. My kids love simple chicken and rice dishes so I gotta try pork chops on them!
Girl, I can NEVER cook regular rice right. Mine should be used in sushi it’s so sticky!
