Gin Cosmopolitan is a bright, refreshing happy hour cocktail
that’s sure to put you in a good mood!
One of my most favorite TV shows ever is Sex and The City. Not only did Carrie bring Manolo Blaniks into high fashion, she make cupcakes chic and put the Cosmopolitan in high vogue. I know all my friends started drinking Cosmos along with Carrie!
The TV show is long gone, but I still like a good Cosmo on girls night out!
G’vine Gin sent me samples of their product to review so I decided to make my Cosmo with gin. You can read more about the gin in my Gin Mojito post.
A Cosmopolitan, known affectionately as the Cosmo, traditionally has vodka in it. I made it with this premium gin and was very happy with the result. I also decided to use a Cranberry Pomegranate juice instead of a straight cranberry. My Cosmo still has the sweet and tart flavor that’s so popular. The floral notes in the G’vine gin pairs perfectly with the Cranberry Pomegranate juice that I chose. So really, it’s an ‘unconventional’ Cosmo!
One thing I didn’t change was the real lime juice. It’s a must, don’t use that bottle lime juice, fresh really makes all the difference.
That’s my story and I’m sticking to it!
