This smoothie drink is light, fluffy, filling, and satisfying.

Similar to my Creamsicle Protein Smoothie, this protein smoothie has a less intense orange flavor.

ORANGE BANANA WEIGHT-LOSS SMOOTHIE

This recipe has just a handful of ingredients that you probably already have. It has orange juice, bananas, and ice. You can add protein powder if you want.

As written, this smoothie is thick. The kind of smoothie you eat with a spoon. However, you can add coconut milk or coconut water, or almond milk to make it thinner if needed. Add a quarter cup at a time to avoid thinning it out too much. (Try to work with the blender before adding any juice if you want a thick and creamy smoothie.)

For any smoothie, a good blender is key!!

To be honest, I have never had a traditional blender that lastest very long. But, I highly recommend this NutriBullet. In fact, I never use a traditional blender anymore. Furthermore, I realize there are cheaper ‘blender bullets’ available but this is the brand I use, and know it works. If you find a deal on another brand, be certain to check the watts. You’ll want one with high watts to grind ice that is in most smoothie recipes. (The NutriBullet linked above is 1000 watts.)

If you don’t have a high-powered blender, you can still make this shake. You may need to help the blender at the beginning with the thicker ingredients. Try pulsing it or starting and stopping and using a spoon to mix stir the ingredients.
