White Chocolate Peppermint Chex Mix

Holiday snacks don’t have to be complicated and time-consuming to make. This Chex Mix recipe is so simple to make but has incredible flavors. And, that crunch! Yum!

This snack mix is great to have sitting around at parties for guests to munch on. I love a make-ahead treat.

It’s also a good addition to candy or cookie trays since it’s so easy to make and is budget-friendly.

WHITE CHOCOLATE PEPPERMINT CHEX MIX

Although this is similar to Muddy Buddies (aka Puppy Chow) it’s completely different. Muddy Buddies typically have peanut butter and powdered sugar. For this Peppermint Chex, it’s literally white chocolate, Chex, and candy canes.

First, this is a great recipe to let little ones help with. I always try to mention that on recipes that don’t involve the stove or oven or that’s super easy. This one is perfect.

You can use white chocolate chips, Wilton candy melts, or almond bark for this recipe. Additionally, if you prefer, you can use dark chocolate.

Finally, you can double this recipe easily if you need to.

HOW TO CRUSH CANDY CANES FOR WHITE CHOCOLATE MIX

Unwrap the candy canes and place them in a freezer zipper-top bag, squeeze the air out, and seal it. Now, lightly crush them with a rolling pin or meat mallet. Be careful and don’t bang too hard or the candy cane could rip the bag and come out.
