Why run?

I thought when I started this blog that I wanted it to be about my passion for cooking. I have realized that I actually have a greater passion. That passion is running; I love running with every cell in my body. Furthermore, I run because I want to, not because I have to. I don’t like to race and I don’t really like to run with anyone. Finally, I just like to get out there and go. With every step, I take the cobwebs, stress, and junk that’s in my head goes away little by little.

Girl running.

Believe me, I’ve asked myself many times, ‘Why do I do it’? Like this morning – ‘Why am I doing this in the pouring rain?’ or ‘Why am I out here when it’s 28 degrees and my feet are frozen?’ or ‘Why don’t I stop, my legs are numb?’ … I do it for fun, to stay healthy, and to stay sane.

WHY RUN?

Running gives me personal satisfaction and a sense of accomplishment. It helps me focus, clears my head, and reduces stress. Also, it makes me feel Tough, Determined, and Confident.

It puts me in my happy place.

If you run, you are a runner. It doesn’t matter how fast or how far. It doesn’t matter if today is your first day or if you’ve been running for twenty years. There is no test to pass, no license to earn, no membership card to get. You just run. ~John Bingham

With all that being said, I will now include some exercise strategies for you on callmepmc.com.
